Description
MA is organised by FIFA and Centre International d’Etude du Sport; it involves three of Europe’s top universities: Bocconi University School of Management – Italy, De Montfort University – England and University of Neuchatel – Switzerland. MA is offered in English language.
The demands of the Sport world
In a modern society the sport environment is evolving increasingly rapidly. This trend requires a fast cultural adjustment, in addition to utilising new skills necessary for sports management.
Sport federations and sport clubs need managers to provide answers, develop solutions and demonstrate skills far beyond their traditional role. In fact they need global managers.
Today, managers must be able to confront complex economic and social phenomena and to have the capacity for decision-making and an aptitude for risk-taking which were previously only expected from entrepreneurs.
Even the highest technical skills alone are no longer sufficient to meet the social environment in today’s fast moving and unpredictable sports market.
The ability to grasp and the sensitivity to interpret the present sports world make the sports manager of the modern day equivalent of renaissance man, i.e. eclectic, versatile and creative.
The answer provide by an International Master degree
The Academics who have developed the “International Master (MA) in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport” consider that sport needs new tools which exceed national boundaries and mono-disciplinary structures.
The international multidiscipline approach as proposed by this post-graduate degree will not only be based upon a scientific approach and specific case studies, but also upon the individual ability of students and the future managerial requirements of sports federations and sports clubs.
The managers of tomorrow
The experience of the course lectures in specific field such as management, law and humanities guarantees optimal technical skills and practical experience.
Students will have the opportunity to develop flexibility, dynamism and the ability to face change and overcome the new demands confronting sports federations and clubs.
