Presentazione

Cities, Museums, Visual Arts, Music, Sports, Mega events and Social media represent the new frontier in creating a global reputation for public and private sectors.

The new Master in Cultural Diplomacy program offers a multidisciplinary approach to Public diplomacy and International relations, Cultural diplomacy, Digital diplomacy and Global communication.

The Master program trains professionals for international careers in the public and private sectors in international relations, arts and cultural events, Nation and City branding strategies. The Master is promoted by the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, within the activities of the Graduate School of Media Communication and Performing Arts (ALMED), and with the teaching and scientific support of the Graduate School of Economics and International Relations (ASERI).

Didattica

The Master in Cultural Diplomacy program begins November 2021 and runs until September 2022.

Attendance is mandatory (at least 75% of lectures, workshops and seminars).

Classes run from Monday to Friday.

The Master is held in UC Campus and cultural venues in Rome, one of the most renowned cities in the world for its art history and international environment. As part of the program, students have the opportunity to visit museums, cultural institutions and headquarters of Italian and international organizations, in an engaging learning experience.

- Global Issues and public diplomacy: historical and comparative approaches - 6 CFU
- International Economic Policies and Organizations - 6 CFU
- Soft Power and Global Communication - 6 CFU

CULTURAL DIPLOMACY
- Models of cultural diplomacy: global/European/national policies and practices - 6 CFU
- Cultural Diplomacy: Cities, Museums, Visual Arts – 3 CFU
- Cultural Diplomacy: Entertainment and Performing Arts – 3 CFU
- Nation Branding and strategic narratives – 6 CFU
- Business Diplomacy: Corporate Strategies in the Global Environment – 3 CFU

MEDIA AND DIGITAL DIPLOMACY
- Digital diplomacy: technologies and new media in the new public diplomacy – 6 CFU
- Social Media Strategies and Global Online Reputation - 6 CFU


Workshops, project works, seminars, meetings and final project
- Team building, leadership and soft skills workshops (communication management, teamwork, leadership, problem solving and conflicts resolution) – 2 CFU
- Field projects - 2 CFU
- Internship - 6 CFU
- Final project work and portfolio restitution - 2 CFU

 

 

Destinatari

The Master in Cultural Diplomacy program is addressed to students fluent in English who want to deepen their knowledge in these fields with an international strategic approach.
Students may have an international relations or humanities background.
Professional or semi-professional experience in Arts, Culture, Diplomatic Institutions are positively evaluated.

A maximum of 25 students is accepted.

Stage

The Master program is completed with an internship in national and international Institutions and Foundations as well as major corporations and consultancy firms.

At the end of the Master program the students are required to submit a portfolio with their achieved goals.
