Polimoda expands and becomes even more international
From January 1, 2016 Linda Loppa will become director of the Polimoda Strategy & Vision Platform in Paris, France: maintaining solid roots in Florence, Polimoda launches a ‘Paris connection’ to consolidate and develop global relationships.
Linda Loppa will direct this new platform placing Polimoda under the eye of a more experimental and strategic vision, but no less concrete. Together with Danilo Venturi, new Dean of Polimoda and current Head of the Business Department, a new chapter of growth will be written in the context of a vast and more far reaching network.
“A vision on Fashion education will be the central theme of my new career in Polimoda which I will ‘contaminate’ with fresh stimulus and inspiration,” says Linda Loppa. “I’ll often be in Florence to live the highlights of institute life, and to share the work developed in Paris. I still hope I can give as much to this institute that I love very much.”
Polimoda – which recently exceeded 1,500 students – remains a center of Italian excellence in its DNA, but has an international vocation, recognized around the world for high quality training programs in the fashion industry. The Institute – founded in 1986 as part of an initiative conceived and financed by the Cities of Florence and Prato and fashion-sector trade associations, offers students quality vocational training through a highly-specialized working and research methodology.
